PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision

My name is Carlos Malaver Parada. I am originally from Chita, Boyaca, Colombia. I am a former Roman Catholic Priest and married to Sherry Malaver Parada. I am a PhD student in Counselor Education and Supervision at Capella University. I hold a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from University of Providence. I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor, LAC, and a LCPC-C. I am a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist. Certified by Forensic Training Institute and I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. I hold a Master in Sacred Theology/Divinity and a Master in Education. I hold a MS in Philosophy and Psychology. I am an Anger Management Counselor and Domestic Violence Counselor Certified by NAMA CAMS-II. I speak six different languages and English is my sixth. I am able to integrate counseling into spirituality and spirituality into counseling. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hiking, dancing salsa, gardening and all types of outdoor activities. I am a former soccer player and I am an animal lover. Animals are my younger brothers and I have to take care of them. I would like to pursue a PhD in Neurocounseling in the future.
